Happening Around AFM

AFM staff has been busy this summer with several fun activities!

In July, our staff donated comfort backpacks to BackPack Beginnings in Greensboro.  These backpacks contain items meant to offer care, comfort, and basic necessities and are distributed to children under the age of 18 who are removed from traumatic situations.  AFM donated two backpacks:  one for a teenage girl and the other for a teenage boy.  For more information on BackPack Beginnings, visit their website:  backpackbeginnings.org.

Also in July several of our employees, along with their children and grandchildren, took part in a morning of bowling followed by a group lunch in Mebane.  Some of us were definitely more skilled bowlers than others, but a good time was had by all that attended!

In August, our staff assembled at our home office in Graham for a charcuterie board lesson and to have a joint Retirement Party/Baby Shower celebrating our very own Bryan Brown (the soon-to-be-retiree) and Christiana Jarrett (the soon-to-be-girl-mom).  We literally got to play with our food and also enjoyed each other’s company in honor of these very important life events.

AFM employees not only participate in community service projects that help to give back to the communities that we write business in, we also value the opportunity to take part in team-building activities that strengthen our relationships with the people that we work with every day!
