One thing that we hear time and again from our agents is that they love AFM’s website chat feature. Even if we didn’t get this feedback, the chat volumes speak for themselves. We’re happy to provide our agents with several different options to get in touch with us, and we’re glad that this is such a popular choice!

Recently, we made some changes to our chat availability. You will notice that the live chat feature is unavailable between the hours of noon and 1 pm. This is historically one of the slowest times for receiving chats, and disabling the chat feature gives our staff the ability to step away for the lunch hour. If a chat is initiated during this time period, a missed chat email message will be sent to our team and we will respond back upon our return.

Due to the increased volume of chats being handled, the Underwriting Team has also implemented an “All Hands on Deck” approach in the afternoons. This means that you may not be conversing with the same team member every time you chat with AFM. Don’t worry; you’ll still receive the same great customer service that you’re used to. Besides, we also take great notes!
